🎯 The Term 3 Game Plan
Built from Adyaan's real timetable + syllabus. The goal: no all-nighters, because the work is already done in small daily pieces.
Two crunch zones this term: Wk4–6 (projects) and Wk8 = 31 Aug (THREE assessments in one week). Start Wk8 prep in Wk6.
Maths is on 3–4 days/week and accelerates into Year 9 content. Do the mastery check ≥80% every week or the gap compounds.
SAP English (90% + 100% tasks) — the Creative Response and Oral both carry huge weight. Draft early, get feedback, rehearse the oral out loud.
Geography Inquiry Project = 50% of Humanities. Biggest single mark of the term. Launched Wk4, due Wk5 — win this one.
Quran / Arabic / Islamic reward daily 15-min consistency, not cramming. Memorisation + recitation every night.
Check with school: in the syllabus booklet the Arabic, Quran & Islamic Studies pages are headed "Year 7" (all other subjects say Year 8) — likely a template slip, but worth confirming those three run the Year 8 outline. Arabic graded Term 3 = Literacy Test 20% + Oral Practice 15% (the weekly spelling/vocab/listening quizzes are practice only, not marks).
🧠 How to Study (SAP-level)
Retrieval practice: close the book, write what you remember, then check. Beats re-reading.
Maths: redo every wrong question until it's automatic. Use GeoGebra/Desmos for geometry + trig.
Science: after each topic, write a 5-line summary + one keyword diagram (particle model, rock cycle, circuit).
English: keep a quote bank per text (Rabbit-Proof Fence, Bamboo People) — technique + effect + quote.
Weekend: Saturday = review the week + get ahead on the next project. Sunday = lighter, memorisation + rest.
